Putin orders govt to write off taxes of SMEs for April–June

MOSCOW, May 18 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the government to write off April–June taxes, excluding value-added tax, for small and medium-sized enterprises hurt by the coronavirus, the Kremlin said in a statement late on May 15.

The write-off will cover the companies from a list of industries that were hurt by the coronavirus, and social nonprofits. The government should also ensure the right of individual entrepreneurs to reduce the payroll tax to non-budget funds for 2020 by one minimum monthly wage. The deadline for the ruling is June 1.

Putin also ordered the government and the regional authorities to inject at least 12 billion rubles in microfinancing companies before June 15 in order to raise affordability of loans to small and medium-sized companies.

The government and the regional authorities were ordered to monitor extra payment to the medical workers that fight the coronavirus. The authorities should report on that before May 20, and later file reports on a weekly basis.

Putin ordered the government to amend legislation before May 25 to ensure provision of 10,000 rubles per each child under 16 through the Gosuslugi web portal and offices of the Pension Fund. He also ordered the government to amend laws on additional payments to the social workers and childcare benefits before June 1.
